12.10.2016. - A contract worth 39.5 million USD signed for the construction of 400 kV transmission line in Tanzania
The Delegation of Energoinvest d.d. - Sarajevo visited Tanzania last week and, on that occasion, signed a contract with the Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited (TANESCO) in the amount of 39.5 million USD. Energoinvest was awarded this Agreement in consortium with the Indian company EMC. The contract was signed by Bisera Hadžialjević, the Energoinvest General Director, on behalf of the Consortium and Felchesmi Mrambom, the TANESSCO Manager, on behalf of TANESCO. The transmission line concerned is part of a major project to connect 400 kV transmission line network of Tanzania and Kenya, which consists of three lots. Our consortium was awarded a lot number 3, which is related to the construction of 400 kV transmission line from the Arusha city (Tanzania) to the border with Kenya, a length of 114 km. This will be a turnkey project, including design, manufacturing, testing and delivery of equipment and construction of the transmission line. The deadline for the project implementation and completion of construction is 22 months. It is important to emphasize that our company won this project in an international tender with the participation of all major companies in the field of transmission lines from around the world. It is expected that this new project contributes to the stabilization and development of the Energoinvest operations, and the presence in this part of Africa should facilitate the winning of new projects.
